Similar to a typical Supply Chain solution the mobile application was meant to fulfill the needs of the sales agents for both Inventory assignment/Order Capture as well as Marketing/Merchandizing/Sales activities.

To manage the inventory effectively the mobile application has to be in sync with the central server for all SKU combinations, current geographical position of SKU, its future bookings, etc. Additionally, the challenge lay in making available large (3+ MB) 3D animation walkthroughs available on demand, over the air, for emailing to potential customers on the move.

The solution ensured that the surgical equipment sales agent were able to use the handheld device to enhance their productivity during a sales call, have up-to-date information on inventory levels, collect order and print invoices while on the move. The number of sales calls/conversions per agent also went up by close to 45% with the use of this solution.
